Who I am
Hey there, I’m Heidi!
I began my career in Wellness in March of 2010 working in the field of Sports Medicine. I have always been fascinated with the mechanics of the human body and have a passion for helping others achieve lifelong health & fitness, and feeling their absolute best.
Along with an experiential understanding of the body and its kinesiology, from being an athlete my entire life, I have also completed an in depth study of the muscular, skeletal, & nervous systems. I was fortunate to have spent over 6 years working under some of the best Chiropractic doctors in Southern California. And, I am currently broadening my education within the areas of integrative wellness, personal training, and nutrition.
I am an adventure seeker, an outdoor enthusiast, a breast cancer Viking, and a mom of 3 totally awesome humans. Living my life with passion.
I enjoy many activities such as hiking, horseback riding, camping, trail running, snowshoeing, kayaking, lifting weights/fitness, photography, and reading. (Just to name a few.) I have been on this path of health and wellness my entire life and I delight in sharing it with others. Additionally, I have been on the breast cancer journey for a couple of years, and I feel a strong push to be available for others in their journey. My career is one of my greatest joys, and I am truly grateful for each day that I get to share my passion and help others live their life at its best.
What I do
My philosophies are quite simple:
- All aspects of a wellness-based lifestyle need to be real, practical, and enjoyable.
- Everyone views fitness differently, to me it is living your daily life feeling great. Each individual person determines what their definition of fitness is for them.
- It is utterly amazing what the body can do, when it’s given the right conditions to heal itself.
- Meeting your body’s needs with clean nutrition will absolutely change your life.
Having spent almost a decade in Sports Medicine I have worked with clients presenting a wide range of concerns, everything from sports/work injuries to stress related disorders, to orthopedic rehabilitation and postpartum weight loss. My clients’ occupations have spread from being extremely physical to very sedentary, professional athletes and law enforcement, to engineers and accountants. Over the years of working one-on-one with my clients I have had countless inquiries about fitness coaching and personal training.
I’ve had people asking for my advice and guidance everyday, and I began thinking that I would like to have a way to share the knowledge I hold with more people. So I started sharing some of my thoughts and ideas on social media in early 2017 and although the response has been very positive, I still longed for a more comprehensive approach to getting my information out to people. Having a blog on my website was exactly what I was envisioning. I truly love helping people improve their lives. I am thrilled to see them live without pain, reduce or eliminate medications, gain confidence, achieve their goals, and live their lives at their best.
My hope is to inspire, to guide, to motivate, to support, to build, and to share knowledge. XOXO, Heidi
